i got a hardship since I loos e my business in april2010
I use to have small community Neighborhood store since 2001
to 2010 It’s community modular home about 200 house and I had white, black and Hispanic
customer
Major business I got after 4 pm when people back from work,
4 to 9
I doing business 8:30 to 4 pm around 150 4 sell and after 4
to ( pm 150 $ sell major customer purchase was average $ 3 and about 1000
customer visit a day, small item 10 Cent candy to up 13 4 corona beer Box the
sell was very low compare to other business but I still paying my store and
hose bill
Business reduce in 2008 and is effect to daily sell 250 to
275 day and I lost end of the year $6080 in 1040 S form and 2009 I also lost $9800
and 2010 its reduce sell 100 a day I lost 9000$
When I try to sell business no one like to buy low income store
and when I bought store at the time in november2001 I paid to previous owner
goodwill is $ 20000,when I close business in april2010 I loose my good will and
I empty store on april30,2013
At the time I had a 7k in my personal account and I look for
job in 2010 but I did not find job 7 apply on line but no one call for interview
it’s cause I paying mortgage $835 at the
time
My spouse also working in store and according to account we
take 1000 wage per month as is employee after tax and deduction we get only(
835X2=)month income
After we lost business January to march I got only 3000
wages as is employee myself and it’s count by ESC
Unemployment paying115 week (115x4=430) month for both
460+460 = 920 is not enough income we paying 835 mortgage (920-835=85) paying
bill on phone, Piedmont gas water, credit card bill and fee we reduce bank
balance
2010 august AT&T LAN line disconnected on 08-10-2010
because 3rd party charge add up and we was disagree with bill and I paying
39.99 for home and 39.99 + tax 45.62 for cell phone cell phone contract end in July
2010,we was without phone until december2010 then I found safe link low income
people can get phone and I apply for phone
We visited in library and goodwill location for searching
and apply for job but we not find any job
I am volunteer (free) working in Charlotte Hindu center (
religion location temple)I got a contact with Mr. Patel and according to him he
need people for short time but I requested to get permanent job at day s inn
motel but he need person who work for them when they need for flexible hours I accepted
that offer and after they hire me business was good but they not given product whatever
they need us so several notice given to manager and owner but they not buying Clorox
for cleaning and manager was lazy, customer were complaining about dot’s in toilet
tank and I scrub with 10 15 minute but it was dent in toilet and they are
looking for person to do extra unnecessary work and they not paying for extra time so we
decided to quite job we given notice Wednesday and Friday quit job, we work June
toaug2011 and then look for other job we
earn around 1000 in two and half months not good enough income.
I need full time or part time job and apply on line at
walmart,target and other store and agency, staffing agency excuse they need
office people or ware house people they cannot put me whatever I got store
owner or manager experience or cashier experience. Many business ask for resume
we handed to them I create different resume according to good year but they all
not help door to door we walking down town area some staffing company I search
in Google but they need IT tech not a other type of employment ,we join some
basic skill computer class so it’s my
skill so when If needed we can work on the job 2012 we apply at “integra
staffing co’ my spouse nil pa find job we both done drug test and pas it she
start on april2 and then I drop her at 5 Th street and after 8 pm I going on
exit 4 and using computer and send resume by fax in Esc office until 4 pm while
she end work but not fine job but integra staffing call me for work on May 25
and I work that day and after they laid off many people !that was last day for
IRS mail sorting job
We both look for job and apply at monster.com intimate.com other
find job.com other dot com
I use to work in electronic brazing machine operator robotic
machine pick up electronic component and I have experience 1995 to 2001 and
after as is cashier or store manager but this kind of job I did not find in
search and in newspaper and when I file for job I did not get any phone call or
incoming email message when I go email message from business then is like this
message mostly I got:

Last 8 time apply at Wal-Mart but when I walk Thru in I can contact human resource and ask for
then employee collecting name and phone number and then he/she telling human resource
will going to call you no one calling back AND SAID YOU GOT An INTERVIEW CALL
I join job fair in 2011 2012 in hotel Hyatt and cpcc job
fair I apply on line call from my laptop in library private room and they
collect my name ,they not call me because they had batter experience person
then me someone else? I told them I apply on line on this day and I given my
name also I visited in ESC office and search for job then I visit to shop is
hardware store manager told me you do not need to come here you have to apply
on line because they comment and report to Esc that they do not have paper
application and after I feel like 22 one way and go back home 26 mile = 48 mile
for nothing and it’s kind of experience I had several time’ unemployment has to
confirm with business owner
One location find full time job and I visited immediately
and business is under construction and never open again after 6 month while I visited
in Monroe area I checked still is closed ?so how I gone a trust ESC. It’s waste
of time then I reduce going ESC visit and trying good will but also they recommended
using computer and applying on line.
2011 crisis ministry help to paying my water and duke energy
bill for finding job I contact college for pathway program and cpcc told me to
contact other location later on I forget then 2012 October I join part time
school at urban league for education so I can find job without experience, I need
to prove my skill how I can prove it?, economy is worse 9 .2 rate in employment
since last few year until 2013
In Charlotte Hindu center I contact with Mr.rajiv shah and
he said he give me part time job an later on he can shift to his relative gas
station and I start work with 24 hour and they increase to 65 hour week but
they not pay me it’s not in schedule But
owner call me and request to work on extra hour or extra day and I work but
they not pay me I quit job twice and I file claim to labor department, they do
not have punch in/out system got few interview but I got more message time
Warner stadium job I got message they need people part time and I selected part
time and full time so they will keep application in file? Other more and more
location message is same is other?
Esc announce agency person here contact them I given resume and
they said to fill out application on line I did but no response from them they
calling after three month to apply again and some application take 2 hour to
finish with placement or assessment test, we visited door to door at Wilkinson Blvd.
Charlotte industrial area and also contact other Indian for job but it’ wont
help
Last time visit in Esc in May 2013”agency name “mancan and I
visit to agency they hire immediately they announce and I go thru OSHA video
orientation 8:30 to 10 and application they told me to call back after month
but look like they hire experience person 2 minute talk and interview she said
she will going calling me but I call several time no response they hold me for
new job coming
I got interview in target and at the time before interview Hispanic
lady ask to interview person 9manager) what position are you hiring for he said
stocking then lady said her friend husband got a experience and he is doing god
hire him / and after my interview start with shop walking and he was happy with
my answer and then last he said wait for Wednesday for incoming call for
another interview, no one call Wednesday then I visit Thursday and Human
resource said wait I check you name next day and next day she said she is busy then call she is in lunch then call
at 3 she is left outside building she check my name Monday, Monday talk to HR she
said he9manager0 not call you for third interview I said he told me to he going
to call me but you are not qualified (I worked in stocking in my store 9 year
and shipping and receiving I work in chemical company 1993-94 Loosing hope hard
to find job
